The Single Family Web (SF Web) Loan Management System is a web-enabled loan management interface which allows lenders and non-lending partners to perform many of the tasks traditionally performed by housing agencies during the single family loan administration process. This is designed to make the task of processing and managing loans easier by giving agency partners more control over the loans they oversee.
This help file serves as an quick reference and technical guide to the SF Web system, and is separated into two parts:
Quick Reference: This is a step-by-step guide with brief explanations of screen functions and instructions on performing common tasks.
Technical Reference: This is a detailed reference to all of the screens in the system, including information on all of the fields.
The Single Family Web functionality is controlled by a strict security setup, so a user may not have access to all the functionalities mentioned in this guide. If a user believes he or she should have access to a particular function, but does not, please contact the agency administrator.
Familiarity with industry terminology is assumed. However, certain terms may differ from agency to agency. HDS has ensured that the most common terminology is used in this guide.
Throughout the guide the terms "commitment" and "reservation" may be used interchangeably in certain portions (generally, although not exclusively, in regards to field names). Whenever this is not the case, this will be indicated.
The term "Lender" appears as the label for a number of fields, however, these fields can display either the lender or a branch. Lender loan administrators have the ability to create, purchase approve, and otherwise manage not only their own loans, but also loans reserved under their branches. Branch users can manage their own loans only, and can view information directly pertinent to them.
NOTE: In order to create a loan under a branch, the lender must select the branch from the Lender field during the Commitment/Reservation process.
